THE GLOBAL FAMILY OF SAINT JOSEPH UNITED IN PRAYER AND COMMUNION
On March 14, 2026, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chambéry, Associates, and lay partners from different parts of the world gathered online for a simple yet deeply meaningful moment of prayer in honor of Saint Joseph. Lovingly and thoughtfully prepared by the International Communication Commission (ICC), the celebration highlighted the unity of the Congregation across cultures and languages, revealing the richness of our diversity and the strength of the charism we share.
Scripture, reflection, and intercessory prayers centered on Joseph’s courage and fidelity, lifting up prayers for the upcoming Provincial Chapters, for the deceased Sisters, for new vocations, for lay collaborators, for peace in a world marked by conflict, and for the mission lived out in diverse cultural contexts. Voices from many regions echoed the same invocation: “Saint Joseph, pray for us.”
The celebration also included a contemplative psalm, an adapted Our Father, and a prayer to Saint Joseph. A verse from the psalm beautifully expressed the spirit of the gathering: “You show me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy.” It was a deeply inspiring experience that invites us to prepare our hearts for the Feast of Saint Joseph. Every word and every language resonated as a sign of unity, reminding us that beyond all borders, we are one family called to live communion.
STRENGTHENING OUR SHARED MISSION
The expressions of gratitude from the Sisters reflect the depth of what was experienced. As Sr. Claudia shared:
“Dear ICC Team, our heartfelt thanks for bringing together the entire Congregation today in prayer in honor of Saint Joseph. It was truly a beautiful experience of unity, prayer, and communion. We deeply appreciate the effort dedicated to organizing this gathering and helping us feel connected as one family in our shared charism and mission. We wish everyone a very happy Feast of Saint Joseph. With gratitude and prayers.”
This testimony, along with many others, reminds us that prayer not only draws us closer to God, but also unites us with one another, strengthening the shared mission we live together.
ONE VOICE, ONE HEART, AND ONE MISSION
The celebration concluded with a blessing of hope, reminding the global family of Saint Joseph that physical distance does not diminish communion; rather, it strengthens the shared mission of fraternity, care, and peace.
Saint Joseph, our patron and guide, inspires us to walk with simplicity, dedication, and trust. Under his intercession, we learn to live unity as a charism and to build communion in every gesture and word. We truly feel that we are one voice, one heart, and one mission. May the celebration of Saint Joseph find us renewed in gratitude and hope, ready to continue weaving bonds of fraternity within our Congregation and throughout the world.
