Christmas of Hope / General Council

                We are nearing the end of the Jubilee Year proposed by the Church, with the theme chosen by 

our beloved Pope Francis: “Pilgrims of Hope.”

The door of the Jubilee Year is closing, but the door of God's heart is always open to welcome and forgive us. Jesus is the door of Salvation for all who believe, the door that the merciful Father opened in the midst of the world, in the midst of history, so that all may return to Him. We are like scattered sheep, and we need a Shepherd and a Door to return to the Father's house.

Do not be afraid, come! The Door remains open because Jesus is the door of Peace, Hope, and Salvation. Come, let us worship! Today the Lord was born for us, the living God present in the faces of many pilgrims, migrants, and refugees who leave their homeland, their roots, in search of a better life. Jesus challenges us to overcome indifference, to open the door of our hearts to care for humanity and our “Common Home.” Jesus continues his incarnation in us and among us, with his Word of life and hope. Let us trust Him, because He never abandons us.

This is the certainty of faith that rekindles the lights of hope for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026.
