YOUNG INDIAN SISTERS CELEBRATE CONSECRATION IN FRANCE

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. ( Ps 126,3)

Year 2025 is an year of a long history for all the sisters  of Saint Joseph of whole world. With the grace of God, along with our Founder and with our six pioneering sisters, we have travelled 375 years carrying the Charism of Communion and the Trinitarian Spirituality. To mark this great event,11 young Indian sisters will be consecrating themselves permenantly in the Congregation. Down below explaines the initiative and its motif of this day.

Extraite of the invitation letter of the Bishop of Chambery Mgr. Thibout VERNY to Sr. Dolores and to four Provincials of India. « Allow me to include you, dear sisters and council members, in a wider reflection of the event, especially in 2025. The short days in India, were spent with you was a great insight for me. Why couldn't the young sisters, due for Final Vows in 2025, pronounce their vows together, in the Archdiocese of Savoy, (Chambery) with Nirmal and Sapna.                                                                                                                                                   

Could we not honour  the:

·      Universal Catholic Church event of Jubilee Year 2025 in the place of origine of your Congregation?

·      Congregational Event of 375 years since the Foundation in le Puy, at your Mother Province of Chambery

·      170 years of Foundation, by the French sisters, of Sisters of St Joseph of Chambery in India

I believe this would be such a historic event in the Annals of the Diocese of Savoie where your presence is a sign of hope and communion. Never before has this happened, and never again will there be such a possibility. After their final vows, the sisters would return to their ministries.

Our friendship nourishes life always and will continue to strengthen through our close collaboration in different ways. With total inner liberty, I share with you my thoughts.

Several Congregations do this in France, so what I suggest is nothing new. I do not present this request every year; it is ONLY BECAUSE OF THE IMPORTANT MOTIVATIONS OF a) Jubilee year 2025; b) 375 years since the Foundation of our Congregation; c) 170 years since our French sisters planted the Charism first in Nagpur at Kamptee and then at large throughout India. 

Along with sister Jona and her council, I sincerely and ardently hope and pray that we could create History between the diocese and the entire Congregation of Chambery. May the good Lord help you in ways that sustain the dynamism and life of your congregation and its members. You and we would help to keep the place of origins alive and vibrant. Can you imagine what this would mean for the Archdiocese of Savoy and the Province of France/Belgium. You could be instrumental in arousing vocations and motivating them for the local Church. »

This gracefilled event will take place in Chambrey on 15th June 2025, at the Cathedral of Chambery,  during teh mass at 11 O’clock. Many sisters from PRM of Europe will be present for this day. We the sisters of France is extreemly grateful to God for allowing us to live this unique moment ever happened  in the history of the Congregation. We are indebted to God.
