Regional Assembly of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry – Bolivia
From January 10 to 13, in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the Regional Assembly of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry of the Bolivia Region was held. This gathering was a privileged space to live the charism of communion that characterizes the Congregation, strengthening the shared mission and celebrating life with gratitude and hope.
Evaluation of the mission and looking to the future
During the days of the meeting, the sisters reflected on the path taken in the mission, evaluating the challenges and achievements reached in recent years. With open minds and available hearts, they projected the pastoral and community priorities for the year 2026, reaffirming the commitment to serve with simplicity and closeness to those most in need.
Moments of reflection and formation
The Assembly was also an occasion to deepen themes of great relevance:
• Re-signification of religious vows, as a living expression of fidelity and self-giving.
• Prevention of violence, reaffirming the option for peace and human dignity.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, exploring how this tool can be used in evangelization, pastoral work, and study, always at the service of the common good.
These spaces of reflection strengthened fraternal communion and openness to new ways of proclaiming the Gospel in today’s world.
Celebration of life
The Assembly culminated in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude. The gifts received, the achievements attained, and the life shared in community were celebrated. With songs, gestures of fraternity, and prayer, the sisters renewed their commitment to be a sign of unity and hope in the Church and in society.
A charism of communion
The experience lived in Santa Cruz de la Sierra reflects the essence of the charism of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry: to be women of communion, who seek to unite hearts and build bridges of fraternity. The Assembly was a testimony that, amid the challenges of the present, consecrated life continues to be a source of hope and service.
