With joy, we share some moments that express the various experiences lived during the 3rd Provincial Youth Retreat, held on November 29 and 30 in Cícero Dantas, Bahia, at the Cecília Inês Center.
The Retreat, which gathered more than eighty young participants, was the culmination of the Vocational Awakening Project, organized and accompanied by SAV, and courageously embraced by the communities of Cícero Dantas and Cristinápolis. The project unfolded throughout the year in four stages, each of them bringing together more than two hundred young people.
With the theme “Pilgrims of hope in the footsteps of Jesus,” in harmony with the entire Province, the Retreat was a blessed time of living the faith, friendship, joy, walking together, and prayerful silence. Each participant was able, in their own time, to experience the love of God who calls and invites them to follow Him.
The Emmaus disciples dynamics deeply touched everyone, as did the moments of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Lucernarium, and many other meaningful experiences.
The Sisters of Cícero Dantas and Cristinápolis were tireless and loving with all of us, being a true presence and gift of God, welcoming everyone with joy and enthusiasm.
For everything, only and always, gratitude to God and to each one. May we remain united—encouraging, inviting, and drawing near to our beloved youth, the gentle face of God.
Sr. Arzila Pertile
