COMMUNICATION GROUP MEETING STRENGTHENS SPIRITUALITY,

STUDY, REVIEW AND PLANNING

The Communication Group met on November 22 and 23 for a formative gathering that integrated spirituality, theoretical reflection, and planning of the province’s upcoming communication actions. The meeting began with a prayer led by Rita, followed by a reflection inspired by Pope Francis’ twelve dreams for communication, which highlight the importance of gentleness, closeness, hope, and a disarmed attitude in the face of today’s challenges. The group also reflected on the need to avoid manipulation, value stories that promote goodness, and strengthen community bonds, reaffirming its commitment to a more humane, ethical, and evangelizing communication.

The formation continued with a study guided by Sister Eliana, based on Pope Francis’ message to communicators and a video by Silvonei José. Participants deepened themes such as caring for the heart, listening as an expression of love, discernment amid the excess of information, and the importance of communication that generates encounter, communion, and hope. The reflection reinforced that communicating requires patience, openness to dialogue, and responsibility toward the voices that shape society.

THE IMPORTANCE OF AUTHENTICITY ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

In the afternoon, the group revisited the main content from the training programs carried out throughout 2025. These included insights from the 2nd Communication Congress, with reflections on the “bubble effect,” ethics in information sharing, the impact of algorithms, leadership responsibilities in the face of new technologies, and the importance of authenticity on social media. The group also reviewed analyses of the congregation’s social networks, observing audience behavior, the types of content that generate the most engagement, and areas needing improvement.

The meeting also included a moment of fellowship, strengthening bonds among participants. On the second day, the group focused on reviewing the Communication Directory prepared during 2025, making necessary adjustments. The final organization will be overseen by Alex and Sister Eliana.

As a next step, it was agreed that the Directory will be formatted into a slide presentation to be shared with the Sisters during intercommunity gatherings and other provincial meetings. The group also planned actions for 2025 and scheduled upcoming virtual and in-person meetings.
