CALL TO HOLINESS

 1st November 2024

The day began with a meaningful prayer service led by Fr. Edwin SJ, our resource person, on the theme of “Call to Holiness.” His reflections were centered on the Beatitudes, which encapsulate Jesus’ teaching on living as children of God’s kingdom. He emphasised that a saint is someone who allows the light of Christ to shine through them. We are called to embody holiness and manifest God in our lives.

In the first session, Fr. Edwin addressed the context of religious life, India and the world. He described our current environment as a BANI world—characterised by brittle, easily breakable, and indifferent relationships. This was followed by prayer and a spiritual conversation on how we, both individually and collectively should respond to the challenges of the BANI world polarised India and province.

FACE THE CHALLENGES

The afternoon session focused on community life and collaboration, again followed by prayer and spiritual reflection. We discussed two key questions: What am I currently doing, and what more can I do to help my province guide humanity to walk in unity?

At this moment in history, God has granted us an opportunity to rekindle our zeal and face the challenges of our world. The day concluded with an evaluation of our experiences.
