On October 15, at the Provincial House in Curitiba (PR), the celebrations for the anniversary of the founding of the Congregation took place during the morning and afternoon. This program brought together the Sisters of Saint Joseph and the collaborators of the Provincial House, providing a joyful and moving experience with moments of prayer, tributes, and recreation for everyone. Also present were the Provincial Superior, Sister Maria da Consolação Rocha Coelho, and the Councilors, Sister Ana Maria da Costa, Sister Arzila Pertile, Sister Rita Tessaro, and Sister Rosa Porangaba.
In the morning, Mass was celebrated by Father Miranda, from the Congregation of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. At the end of the celebration, the collaborators presented a brief reenactment of the origins of the Congregation, dramatizing the beginnings of the Little Design proposed by Father Médaille and the arrival of the Sisters in Brazil. A tribute followed, honoring the Sisters who continue their mission today in favor of a better world.
After the play, Sister Maria da Consolação spoke about the importance of celebrating more than three centuries of the Congregation, emphasizing that all our actions should be guided by the following pillars: “Humility, cordial charity, and simplicity.”
After lunch, everyone had the opportunity to take part in recreational activities and enjoy the day of celebration in unity.
