Celebrations of March 8, 2025
For all women and young people: rights, equality, and empowerment!
Encouraged by the combative spirit that is characteristic of women, and inspired by the International Commission for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, on the afternoon of March 8, we held a gathering attended by: the 22 Sisters from the Jacob Bellecombette communities, and 25 laywomen and laymen from our Parish or members of the Lay Groups of the Congregation.
Songs and some interactive activities created a convivial, festive, and relaxed atmosphere.
A review of the historical process of women's struggle and organization introduced a dynamic in which each participant could share their opinions on: Dreams, Qualities, and the Place of Women in Society today.
It is true that in our context we can even say that we women have already achieved many rights. But all it takes is to cast our gaze and our hearts on a global scale to see how much women are still being robbed of their rights, their dignity, and their dreams. It is up to us to continue the "fight" of our predecessors!
After the meeting the particaipants shared the snacks. The following photos illustrate some highlights of this great event.
