ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PROVINCE COMMUNICATION GROUP
From November 8 to 10, the city of Lagoa Vermelha, in Rio Grande do Sul, hosted the meeting of the Communication Group of the Brazilian Province of the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph. The gathering brought together members of the communication group from various locations, including Manaus, Pernambuco, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, and Paraná.
The event was marked by reflections and strategic planning aimed at enhancing the congregation's digital presence and impact, with the goal of inspiring and promoting authentic Christian values in the context of global and digital communication.
The program included the development of a Communication Directory for the Province, workshops among members, and the evaluation of 2024 initiatives. Participants also reviewed the 2023–2027 planning and outlined actions for 2025, emphasizing the responsible use of social media and the care of the Congregation's image. Topics such as ethics, the role of laypersons, and the Congregation’s presence in the digital culture were discussed in groups and will be included in the directory's content.
A WELCOMING AND HUMAN APPROACH
The meeting emphasized the need for conscious engagement with the target audience, the importance of vocational animation, and strengthening collaboration among groups and service teams within the Province. New initiatives were planned to address diverse audiences.
According to the participants, digital communication should promote a welcoming and human approach, reflecting and expressing the essence of the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry.
The event concluded with special thanks to the Lagoa Vermelha Community and the São José Center for their warm hospitality.
