18th–19th October 2025
A meaningful two-day seminar was held for the 48 Chapter Delegates of the Province of Pachmarhi at Fox Rock, Pachmarhi, on the 18th and 19th of October 2025. The resource person was Fr. Edwin Rodrigues, SJ from Mumbai Jesuit Province. The session was graced by the presence of Sr. Dolores, the General Superior, Sr. Cristina, the General Councillor, and members of the Provincial Team.
Fr. Edwin, drawing from his rich personal and pastoral experience, inspired the entire gathering with his profound insights and Ignatian wisdom. Through four impactful sessions, he guided the group in reflecting on vital and timely themes:
His engaging presentations helped participants explore the richness of the method of spiritual conversation, which emerged as a powerful tool for both personal reflection and group dialogue for the group. The depth and relevance of these topics were especially significant at this pivotal moment in the life of the Province, providing a renewed sense of direction in light of our Charism of Communion and Gospel values.
One of the key highlights was Fr. Edwin's introduction of the concept of the “God Positioning System (GPS)”—a spiritual metaphor that encouraged participants to become more attuned to God's presence and guidance in their everyday lives. What began as an unfamiliar idea became, for many, a practical and transformative approach to deepen both personal and communal discernment.
In the final session, Fr. Edwin powerfully stirred the group with a spirit of fire, challenging all present to set meaningful goals for the future, to think critically about our current path, and to reflect deeply on what we desire for the Province. He introduced the inspiring concept of “Cathedral Thinking”—inviting the group to build a long-term vision that extends beyond the present and into a future that serves generations to come.
This input session truly set the tone for ongoing reflection, renewal, and commitment in our shared mission and community life. It was an experience of grace, discernment, and deeper communion.
