GENERAL CHAPTER IN NEMI - 12/03

DISCERNMENT CONTINUED WITH SILENCE AND PRAYER

The day commenced with the delegates reflecting on the Gospel in their respective groups. Singing the ancient mantra of Indian Spirituality enthused the group to enter into the day’s proceedings.

The presentation on the discernment process by Maria Murcia helped us understand the value of discernment. The discernment process requires interior freedom, intense attachments, and acknowledging our limited vision before God. Further, she referred to scripture passages like Jesus feeding 5000 people and the transformative journey of the Samaritan woman to deepen our understanding.

    BREAD BROKEN AND SHARED

The delegates were invited to spend the day in silence, personal reflection, and sharing in groups.  The guided meditation at the end of the day focused on looking at oneself as a beautiful person made in the image of God. It was combined with breaking of the bread and sharing it with each other.
