Sr. Hedwig-Marie Hergenhahn in Memoriam died 16.Juni 2021
On June 16, 2021 Sister Hedwig-Marie Hergenhahn, a member of the Norwegian Province died at the age of 73. She died at the infirmary of the Sisters in Grefsen, Oslo after 2 years of cancer. She had a great trust in God, and could put herself into the big hands of God during her time of sickness.
She entered religious life at the age 21, she was a native German and offered her life for the mission in Norway, both in Church and society. She worked as a nurse assistant at different hospitals and infirmaries and was for more than 7 years the superior of the sisters at Grefsen. She worked 16 years as the assistant in economics in Franciscans help, a social Institute helping cancer people with nursing at their homes and elderly people with home care.
She was loved by her calm and kind way of being with people, but also sometimes she showed a lot of humour. She was a very trustworthy person and like St. Joseph without many words. Many people showed their deep sympathy and told how much she had meant to their lives.
Sister Hedwig-Marie may rest in Gods love and peace !
