Dourados celebrates one year of the Foundation of the Municipal Association of Haitians

On February 29, 2020, one year of foundation of the Municipal Association of Haitians was celebrated in the Parish Nossa Senhora de Fátima in Dourados.

This event was celebrated with the theme “Violence against women” which was very important to Haitians and to the whole community. The resource person Regina Célia, a psychologist, who works with Public Policies in the municipality addressed and reflected with us on the theme.

After which more than 100 members of the group received the certificates of completion of the computer course by the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul.

There were several representatives from universities, public sectors and others. The volunteers who work on the Project with Haitian Migrants in Dourados were also present. Altogether there were about 200 people participating in the event.

We appreciate the collaboration of each person on this beautiful day. It is wonderful to see how our Haitian brothers are already organizing themselves and trying to enter into different sectors of the society.
