Easter and Earth Day, two holidays celebrated together in Guaíba
The Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Guaíba community in southern Brazil share how they celebrated Earth Day, as proposed by the Congregation. Sister Laura Gavazzoni said, "From the moment we received the suggestion for prayer from the Commission for Justice, Peace and the Integrity of creation (JPIC), we began to share it in our groups of Associates, and with animators of our Lady’s Little Chapels, Cursillo groups and employees of our social project, PROJARI. With the proximity of the Easter celebrations, the first groups emphasized the resurrection radiating life upon humanity and the planet. We\´ve also included reflection on the poster of the 25th Festival of the Little Chapels, to be commemorated in community in the month of October, whose theme is, "Act quickly to care for life". In each group, we use different dynamics, according to the space and the possibilities of the site.”
Later, these groups were replicating the experience of prayer in the most diverse ways in their base groups.
