ACCOMPANYING NEW MEMBERS
On September 9th, 40 formators from across the Congregation met via the Zoom Platform to delve deeper into the subject of formation. Sr. Jean Sauntry, from the United States Province, guided the group on the topic: Accompanying new members of the Congregation. She highlighted that today it is necessary to walk alongside the new members, side by side, giving time to listen in an atmosphere of trust, inner and outer freedom. It is important that Formees have significant time daily for spiritual cultivation and frequent spiritual accompaniment. It is a good, indispensable tool to help new members have human and spiritual experience to understand where God is calling them.
COMMUNITIES IS LOVING ATMOSPHERE WHICH CAN WARM THEIR HEARTS
It is our mission to help new members to have meaningful community/missionary experiences in their simple everyday activities such as cleaning vegetables, visiting the poor, giving catechesis, study etc. so that through these simple experiences, watered with a good re-reading, in the light of the Word of God, they can discern their true vocational motivations.
What Formees need most is communities is loving atmosphere which can warm their hearts and companionship of to those who are willing to follow Jesus Christ, as Sisters of St. Joseph.
