    An Evening with Joseph

The evening of March 16 was set aside to be with St. Joseph in preparation to celebrate the feast. The virtual gathering began with a meaningful prayer service conducted by the Province Communication Team which created divine ambience in all the communities. During the prayer the attributes of St. Joseph uplifted our hearts in reverence  as we heard the sharing of personal experiences of Srs. Francina, Vineeta and Parimala which increased our faith in the providential care of our just and gentle father St. Joseph.

Sr. Philomena our Provincial Superior greeted us with great enthusiasm and enlightened us with her words of astuteness. Sister spoke with great love for St. Joseph and invited all of us, to renew our commitment to witness the values of St. Joseph with great awareness. As sister expressed her sympathy for the untimely death of Anna Harris (23), an ex- student of St. Joseph’s Convent School, Ratlam, she highlighted the words of Pope Francis- “St. Joseph is the bright witness in dark times.”

Joseph was open to God even in the midst of life’s crisis. God intervened and transformed crisis into new horizons. With these great insights S. Philomena challenged each one of us:

    • to be sisters who transform crisis into new dreams, into new horizons not only for one self but for others too.
    • to be a sister of St. Joseph who choose mercy and ready to make a courageous choice just like our patron.

Sister wound up her talk by reminding the sisters to be in continual conversation with God and prepare for the feast with a desire to be tender. The virtual meet concluded with a greeting song sung by Sr. Archana after which we the sisters greeted each other.
