The second day of Leaders as Leaven program was quite a thrilling one for the mentors and participants. The prayer guided the group to think and pray. “Let your love be unifying,  communicative, active and vibrant.” The resource person for the day was Kathia Castro Laszlo, Ph.D., Principal and Chief Creative Officer, and Excecutive Coach in the Leadership Circle Profile from USA. Kathia was warmly welcomed by the group and introduced by Barbara Bozak CSJ.

In her introductory session Kathia highlighted the importance of wholeness, healing and holiness in religious life followed by an exercise connecting one's heart with the community and colleagues who made it possible for the group to be participating in this program.

    ‘LEADERSHIP CIRCLE PROFILE’

“Leadership is about creating a domain in which human beings continually deepen their understanding of reality and become more capable of participating in the unfolding of the world,” quote by Peter Senge explains the purpose of our life as leaders.

The evolution of leadership from a hierarchical model to circular model was explained well.  The participants were divided into groups to mime few polarities like: Leading – Following, Masculine – Feminine, Completion – Cooperation etc. and depict emergence of wholeness from tension.

Major part of the day was spent to explore and explain, ‘Leadership Circle Profile’ to the participants and mentors. The participants had ample opportunity to know and understand their profile.

Time was given at the end of the day for mentor – participant interaction after which everyone expressed their feelings in a word with the whole group.
