FORMATIVE MEETING FOR ALL THE SISTERS OF THE PROVINCE

On June 18, 2022, an online Formative Meeting was conducted on the theme: HUMANIZING INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, IN THE LIGHT OF THE CHARISM OF COMUNION, by Psychologist: Karina Okajima Fukumitsu. In the Morning Session, all the sisters of the Province were allowed to participate, however the Afternoon Session was only for the Coordinators of the Communities.

Sr. Katia Sassi, the Provincial welcomed the Sisters and introduced the theme emphasising and quoting the General Chapter document: we are challenged to grow in the dynamism of our interpersonal relationships, in order to live the evangelical way of life in Community, for the Kingdom of God. And the Action Plan of the Province calls us to commits ourselves to live humanizing and dialogical relationships that strengthen the community and missionary activity and fosters the development of an integral maturity.

EMOTIONS ARE A VISITOR, WE NEED TO WELCOME THEM

Psychologist Karina dealt with the theme and motivated the Sisters to ask themselves: Who are we? What is our mission? Emotions reveal to us, who we are. They come to us as a visitor, we need to welcome them and find the meaning for our life. Have compassion for ourselves and for each other. Relating is not easy, because we are different and this creates conflicts. We need to live in Love, because love heals bitterness.

It is necessary to dare to do things differently for it changes our way of thinking: Instead of asking ourselves “why”, use the expression “what”.  “What do I no longer want in my life”? The morning session was full of emotions and experiences.

    CONTINUITY IN PRACTICAL LIFE

In the afternoon, the coordinators reflected on these two questions:

    1. Highlight three elements that drew your attention in the reflections given during the Morning Session.
    2. Make three concrete proposals that will help us to grow in humanizing relationships.

We worked on these questions in the group and shared our reflection in the Assembly and listened to each other. Various important proposals were indicated for continuing the study and practical directions for life in the community.

We concluded the meeting with vote of thanks and desire to continue the training process.
