HOLY WEEK - POWERFUL MOMENTS AT JACOB-BELLECOMBETTE

After 2 years of being unable to have liturgical celebrations, we had the joy of experiencing Holy Week in community with meaningful celebrations.  Since most of the sisters were not able to go to the parish, priests came both to the skilled care facility and to the community of Bellecombette. We also welcomed a few lay people who joined us for these celebrations. 

 A FRAGILE FLAME – THAT OF HOPE

On Good Friday we were able to have a living Way of the Cross in the garden.  Through these fourteen stations, Christ’s Way of the Cross resonated powerfully with the present reality in the near East. Behind the worst evils always flickers a fragile flame – that of hope.

Our three young sisters, Santhi, Jayarani and Sujatha used movements at each station, making the link between the passion of Christ and what is happening in society.  It was very moving and prayerful, uniting us with our suffering sisters and brothers throughout the world.
