CELEBRATING THE GREATNESS OF THE LORD

Having nine days of intense devotion through novena, prayers, reciting the rosary of St. Joseph, and with special triduum, we sisters, associates, and friends of St. Joseph of Chambery gathered in our communities and workplaces across the globe in celebrating the greatness of our dear Patron Saint–St. Joseph.

Renewing our Commitment

On March 19, we, the sisters of St. Joseph of Chambery, with the associates in an atmosphere of joy and festive celebration, renewed our commitment before the altar of God. Each community according to their tradition and culture decorated the sanctuary of God where our patron saint Joseph was adorned with lilies and other colorful flowers and decorations.

INVITATION TO LOVE LIKE JOSEPH

Though we hear very little about St. Joseph in the Gospels, his life itself is a lived Gospel. His life was the epitome of Jesus’ life. In the audience at the Vatican before the feast of St. Joseph, Pope Francis said, “Joseph of Nazareth, the husband of the Virgin Mary, was the man who linked Jesus to his people, the people God had chosen to bring blessing to all humanity.” Throughout his pontificate, Pope Francis, a great admirer of St. Joseph, emphasizes the faithful to have a father’s heart like Joseph and have creative courage in bringing Jesus to others through their life and mission.

Interceding for world peace

In our communities, we took part in creative and reflective prayers marking the feast of St. Joseph. We prayed for the grace and blessings to lead our lives according to the life of St. Joseph. We invoked our saint to intercede with God to enlighten the world leaders to stop the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

INSPIRATIONS AND BLESSINGS…

St. Joseph is inspiring and blessing sisters and associates throughout the world in numerous ways. Some of these blessings are visible through the composition of hymns, poems, and other good works.

May our patron Saint Joseph continue to bless every member of our congregation to make our little communities/homes/workplaces like that of Nazareth living our charism of communion among our dear neighbors.
