PILGRIMAGE OF SISTERS AND LAY ASSOCIATES TO TURIN, ITALY

PILGRIMAGE of Lay Associates was arranged on the occasion of their Bicentennial to Turin, Italy on 17th of October

The "pilgrimage” conducted on October 17th at the Institute of the Sisters of St. Joseph, awakened feelings and memories, including the years that I spent from kindergarten to high school at a religious institute. Last year I participated in the program with the view of continuing my studies in different realities.

The pilgrimage kept lingering in my mind. I found myself participating and joyfully sharing an unexpected reality. The video-pilgrimage helped me to have a memorable experience with Associates of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph to which I've recently joined in order to contribute to make this little Design grow.

AN ENVIRONMENT OF SYMPATHY, COMMUNION, LISTENING, HUMILITY...

The pilgrimage continues to make me listen and watch chronicles and testimonies, discovering the Little Design in the multiplicity of joyful facets. It continues to encourage me to grow in the charism and serve with humility, simplicity and communion on the spiritual path listening to each one with sympathy.

The pilgrimage continues through our work of support for the needy. It continues through the presence of the Sisters who are charitable, loving and serene and who listen with their eyes and ears to those in need.

I asked the associates, whether they have written about their precious personal experiences. Some of them told me "I started writing something, but... “who cares about these things?"

TO CONTINUE TO SPREAD THE GIFT OF CHARISM

The direct and indirect testimonies written with the Pencil of the Little Design made my “heart more opened”. I am sure that the Project of sharing our personal experience through voice, and writings in this bicentennial, sows the desire in pilgrims to continue to spread the gift of the charism of Father Jean Pierre Medaille.

    Until we meet again

    Carla D.
