IN THE CORRIDORS OF THE ST.  JOSEPH CONVENT, CURITIBA.
A Unity Project in the world of divisions

We can see, read, know, appreciate, witness and follow the blessed history of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in different places of the world. The history of St. Joseph Convent in Curitiba took shapes and colours on the walls of corridors. We thought of narrating the story of the congregation creatively. Therefore, we made drawings, images and paintings in a modern way and placed it on the walls of the corridors.

According to Pope Francis: “By the power of the Holy Spirit, every story, even the most forgotten one, even the one that seems to be written with the most crooked lines, can become inspired, can be reborn as a masterpiece, and become an appendix to the Gospel. Like countless other stories, which have admirably scripted the encounter between God’s freedom and that of man. Each of us knows different stories that have the fragrance of the Gospel, that have borne witness to the Love that transforms life. These stories cry out to be shared, recounted and brought to life in every age, in every language, in every medium.”

Our history “brings with it a light which I am not, but I carry with me, always. Reality invites us to witness our faith and the charism that the Holy Spirit has entrusted to us. Today, when a young woman realizes that I have a light on within my heart, she will know that she is on a safe path” (Sr. Marian Ambrósio). Thus, I give witness to the light and she will enter the path I am treading and give continuity to the story.

The history of the Congregation in the corridors of the St. Joseph Convent, Curitiba awakens joy and hope and brings life and strength in the Sisters, collaborators and visitors on their journey.

    TESTIMONY

“The reading of this story in the corridors must lead us to a commitment and greater experience of the charism, in order to bring about communion and solidarity and not inertness in our mission”! (Sr. Maria de Lourdes Savio).

“Having the charism always before one's eyes allows it to enter into one’s heart and life. Seeing, loving, living” (Fr. Ladi Antoniazzi).

“These walls portray the Missionary History of our predecessors. A story that moves us, excites us and is praiseworthy for its fidelity to the charism which was inspired by God to Fr. Médaille. Visitors gaze it with awe. Special thanks to the team that built it delicately and with true details. (Sr. Anita Firstr)

Anyone who didn’t have the opportunity to see this work of art, which was ready in beginning of this year, can have a glimpse of it through the pictures below. Everything is not here.  We cordially invite you to come here and enjoy fully the history exhibited in a creative way. Welcome, welcome to Curitiba!
