Initial formation - A charism and a challenge

The participants of the International Formation Session of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry gathered in Rome to share the appeal and challenges of formation for religious life today.

Charism:

Following Jesus as a Sister of St. Joseph today is telling the world that it is possible to live communion, the grace of unity asked of us in the Gospel of John 17:21: "Father, may they all be one, as you and I are one ...” As Sisters of St. Joseph, we live in international communities and in specific places, ver the Lord sends us to care for and share life.

We are assembled to reflect, pray and read the signs of the times, that is, to prepare to respond better to emerging needs.
We feel that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit walks with us and with our people. As he called our first sisters, he calls us and continues to draw other young people to follow him and to continue the proclamation of the Kingdom.

Challenges:

Loving, caring for and helping other persons in the formation process, knowing that it is a sacred ground and a gift from God.

Assuming the accompaniment as a task and a grace, because we are fragile people who need to learn every day.
Cultivating fraternal relationships with cordial humility and charity, knowing that we need each other to go beyond the boundaries of prejudice.

As Sisters of St. Joseph, we are grateful to you, for your love, your prayers and your trust. Let us continue in Unity through prayer.
