GENERAL CHAPTER IN NEMI - 11/29

    SHARING OF GRACES

The sixth day of the chapter began in similar language prayer groups where we reflected on the Gospel passage Mt.18/5-11. Each sister in the group shared of the graces that one would seek based on the Chapter theme “Community Immersed in the Spirit connected with the world.”

    CELEBRATING GRACES

The day witnessed the report of the General Council where each one presented the journey of their mandate sharing the joys, graces, and challenges they had experienced during their tenure. After their honest report and a moment of silent reflection sisters representing six areas of the Congregation planted seeds of hope for the next mandate. All the participants greeted and thanked each one on the General Team for all that they have done for each member of the Congregation.

    INVITATION TO CULTIVATE NEW SEEDS

The rest of the morning was dedicated to personal reflection on the same report. We were then asked to reflect on two questions: What is the significant transformation or concrete action that I see in these past six years in the Congregation and what are the new seeds that have been cultivated for the next mandate.

ENTERING INTO THE DISPOSITION FOR DISCERNMENT

In the afternoon we were guided to reflect on Consecration, Communities, and Missionaries as Disciples of Jesus. This was followed by the disposition for discernment. We were then asked to keep our hearts open and be attentive to the inner movements of the Spirit.

The day ended with a Para-liturgy highlighting intercultural world in which we live and move.
