CAPITULANTS CONTINUE TO ENJOY RAIN AND THE SCENIC BEAUTY
Nature’s beauty is a gift that cultivates appreciation and gratitude. Another enchanting day commenced with the sound of the rain and the surrounding scenic beauty of Nemi.
ENTERING INTO THE SEASON OF ADVENT
The first Sunday of the Advent began with the Eucharist which was animated by our sisters from Norway and Denmark. The melodious singing and reflection helped us to begin the season of advent as a time of change and a new beginning. The homily enlightened us through the story of the log of woods in the hands of the six people which indicates the human sin. It clearly states that we do not die due to the cold outside but the cold within that is jealousy, discrimination, selfishness, poverty and richness.
EMBRACE A GRACE FILLED FUTURE
After the liturgy we gathered in the chapter hall. it was really a challenging day as we listened to Helen Harrington on Congregation study. Together we have a reason to be grateful and we can celebrate what God has done for our congregation but we are continued to be challenged as we face the future of our congregation. Her presentation not only provided the current situation but also an estimate of resources for the future. Our discussion in the group and plenary session give us the vision that will play vital role in moving us forward in a process that will help us to embrace to a grace filled future.
After dinner, the capitulants were engaged in a lively recreation that brought geographical distance closer, allowing the group to experience the richness of the interculturality of our congregation. It was indeed a happy hour.
