INTERCULTURALITY
We began our day at 8:15 am with the Eucharistic Celebration animated by our Indian Sisters and presided over by Fr. Tim Norton. During the celebration, the entire congregation gave thanks for the gift of life of Sr. Celine in a special way.
Immediately after the Mass, we went to the chapter hall for the talk of Fr. Tim Norton on Interculturality. He said that he until likes to be called ‘Tim’ and not Fr. Tim. He shared with us his life story connected to ‘Interculturality’ instead of giving us only the theory of ‘Interculturality’. He emphasized that interculturality permeates the personal experience of each person.
AN INVITATION TO REMEMBER THE EXPERIENCE OF LIFE
We need to live interculturality from within. We need to acknowledge that in our life. We need to know each other's history. He invited us to remember the first chapters of our lives and to recognize the Intercultural experiences of our life.
After the talk, we went to the mixed language groups where we shared the following questions:
1) Describe an intercultural experience you had in the last 10 years which has changed your life. How do we understand the change?
2) What strategies can we create to promote interculturality in our communities and ministries?
After the group discussion, we went to the Chapter Hall. The group secretaries shared the reports on these two questions.
EUROPEAN NETWORK – STRENGTHENING THE MISSION
The European Network composed of Denmark, Norway, France, Italy, Sweden, Ireland and the United States presented the report in the afternoon. We perceive the progress that is made by the European Network in strengthening the life and mission of the congregation in these countries.
CHAPTER DIARY
Sr. Marian Ambrosio invited us to reread the day with a contemplative gaze and to record in our chapter diary the powerful idea which we would like to remember. The practice of writing the journal is important for each chapter member. To record anything that is emerging new in one's heart and mind in a journal, we need to be attentive to the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Listening to Tim...and having experienced years of having lived interculturality, I realize what a gift it is. It broadens one's breadth of vision, while allowing for space for personal growth. The degree of enrichment depends on how open and welcoming one is.
