XVIIth National Meeting of the Newly Consecrated in Bolivia

Every year, young religious meet in one of the Bolivian Departments, and this year, we met in the city of Trinidad, in the Department of Beni.  There were over a hundred young religious from different places in Bolivia, as well as participants from other countries, along with consultants and representatives of the Bolivian Conference of Religious.

These meetings are always a special time when we have the opportunity to share life, mission, culture and our own experiences on our journey.  This offers us the possibility of a personal meeting with Christ, the only foundation for our lives, and with others on the same journey.  Together we search how we can respond well and live an authentic life as consecrated religious today.

We were assisted by: Sister Helena Lacci (Franciscan) and Father Leonardo da Silva (Servant of the Holy Spirit), around the theme: “Community Life in light of the Word of God,” THIS IS HOW THEY WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES.  Through their experiences, they challenged us to be the motivational force and builders of our own fraternal life, to have the attitude of collaborators and not consumers in community.
