“Sisters Of Saint Joseph, Beyond Frontiers” - Region of Bolivia

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Region of Bolivia met in their annual assembly January 3 to 8, 2012 in Cochabama. Participants were Sister Ieda Maria Tomazini (General Councilor) and Sister Alirce Zanella (Provincial Superior of Porto Alegre, Brazil), sixteen Sisters from the five communities of the Region and three Postulants, who joined them for study and prayer.

In a climate of openness and availability, objectives were established for 2012, among them, the sharing of lived experience in hope, challenges and dreams. Evaluation and planning for our future were done in view of the priorities and urgencies of the Congregation and the Planet. Other topics were strengthening communion among us and with the congregational body, sharing responsibilities in the diverse apostolates and services, the successes and challenges of the Coordination, Finance, Formation, and Vocational Animation Teams and those of the Contact Persons of the Communication and Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Commissions.

Each Sister actively participated in the assembly, in a climate of prayer and openness to the will of God.  With the spirit of belonging to the Congregation, the Sisters of the Region want to deepen their spirituality, live and spread the Charism, that is, assume the mission given to them with courage and trust.
