Meeting Of The Inter-Formation Team Of Brazil-Bolivia

The Saint Joseph postulant community in Cochabamba, Bolivia welcomed the Sisters of the Inter-Formation Team of Brazil-Bolivia from April 5 to 11.

Father Carlos Palmes, SJ, guided the meeting with this reflection: “To Be or Not To Be: Religious Life in the XXIst Century – the Pillars of Religious Life (Experience of God, Community and Mission).”  Those gathered shared about the journey through different stages of formation as well as the different perspectives of the Lyon - Annecy - Chambéry (LAC) Congregations with regard to formation.  They also took time to reflect about the possibility of having the Brazil-Bolivia Novitiate take place in Bolivia in 2012-2013, with the goal of deepening the international experience.  The reflection will continue in the next team meeting in September in São Paulo, Brazil.

The meeting was enriched by the sharing of experiences and by the participation of the Temporary Professed Sisters and Postulants of the Region of Bolivia.  The experience of being together helped the members of the Congregation to be more aware that they are part of a corporate body, capable of overcoming multicultural differences and helping the charism of communion to grow. Another significant aspect of the meeting was the openness, availability and the simplicity of the sharing, from both the team and the Sisters belonging to the Bolivian Region.
