A Walk for Ecology

An ecological march for gathering and sorting recyclable materials was held on April 15 in Canto Grande, in the municipality of  São Raimundo das Mangabeiras, Maranhão in the northeast of Brazil.  The event was realized by the Sebastião Arche School, along with youth from the community and through the support of local leaders. 

The main goal of the activity was to create awareness about preserving the environment, while emphasizing the Campaign for Fraternity 2011, “Fraternity and Life on the Planet”.
