Called to Interdependence

As I read the articles in the September/October issue of CSJournal, I couldn’t help but be struck by the daily partnerships our sisters and associates are engaged in, including women and men of various generations, cultures and faith traditions, all of whom are focused on meeting current unmet needs in a particular area. as they live out our charism and spirituality. Our hope is that every group and every member of the congregation keep before them a vision of greater partnerships and discuss how to welcome new partnerships into their particular reality.

We are deeply grateful that we live in a time when we have the possibility of partnering with many other women and men across the globe who seek to be about communion and concern for others. In what ways are we called at this time to recognize the incarnate One on our journey of forging new partnerships? This journey may require us to let go of the comfort of control or previously held opinions of the best way to accomplish our particular goal. Responding to this challenge of partnership and interdependence, always in balance with where God is leading us, will create a future of constantly blurring edges as we join larger and larger circles of committed people. In so doing, we will have a greater impact and influence on the quality of life in our universe.
