The death of North American black George Floyd, on May 25, 2020, sparked a worldwide movement against racism and violence imposed on black people. It also expresses the outcry at the millions of silent deaths that are stifled and suppressed from the news every day.
The Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambery, through the Commission for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) has prepared a Statement and is joining to fight for the human rights of blacks across the planet. The time has come to raise our voice and take concrete actions. First of all we express our solidarity with the victims of racism and promote the publication of this statement.
