05.11.2020 | Sisters of St. Joseph facing the coronavirus pandemic Cansanção Bahia Sharing 24

Community: St.  Joseph  Sister Cecília Inês Muraro

In our life, at all times, it is the "Lord" who takes the initiative to come to us and lead us in personal and community harmony.
In this time of Pandemic, we feel driven by the unconditional love of the living and risen God, strengthening our faith, confidence and hope. We are living in this time of social isolation and we have made a special schedule: moments of prolonged personal and community prayer every day. We participate daily in the virtual Mass on TV Aparecida and we have the grace to receive communion every day. We also have moments of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We only go out to buy what is necessary for our food, medicine, payment of bills and withdraw our pension. Upon returning, we do general hygiene.

We avoid contact with the people physically, but we use the magic of social networks to know the news and also to get closer to people and rural communities, encouraging them and asking for the protection of the Lord to free us from this evil that is plaguing the land. We follow the news of the Church, diocese, congregation, province and the realities of world, always encouraging us that, soon, we can meet again and walk with joy resuming the mission.

Our community life is being strengthened by sharing, listening, dialogue, helping each other, increasingly exercising patience and forgiveness. In this Easter season, we are set to live the joy of the Risen Lord and not to lose the missionary spirit that propels us as Sisters of St. Joseph.

Our immediate neighbours participate with us on Sunday mass, at the eight o\´clock.  It is a very beautiful and pleasant experience.
