Speak, Mary, declaring what you saw…
“The tomb of Christ, who is living, the glory of Jesus’ resurrection;
bright angels attesting. The shroud and cloth resting.
Yes, Christ my HOPE is risen, to Galilee he goes before you.”
Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining. (Easter Sequence)
Dear Sisters and Associates,
Yes, rejoice for Christ is risen and “our HOPE goes before us”. ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!
May each of us be blessed with the wonder and faith of Mary and of the unnamed disciple in today’s Gospel reading. Their trust was so deep in the Jesus they knew, that even the dark moments of the Passion and Crucifixion, did not extinguish it. They remained open to welcome the HOPE and LIGHT of the Resurrection. Even in these dark moments of the global Covid-19 pandemic, Christ our LIGHT and HOPE, comes and goes before us. Let us open ourselves, drinking the “new Easter water” of HOPE and spreading it as we follow in Jesus’ footsteps.
Happy Easter and God’s blessing upon us!
