    04.01.2020 | Sisters of St Joseph facing the Pandemic Coronavírus: Brazil - Postulancy - Sharing 2

     “Let\´s go to the other side of bank”

    In this time of “new corona virus”, pandemic we experience the transition from “pain to love”.

    As a community of faith, we need to reorganize ourselves in our routines: changing work shifts and schedules, formation of postulants, moments of personal and community prayer, staying at home, learning to deal with emptiness, powerlessness and loneliness, knowing ourselves a little more, leave our pastoral activities and celebrations with the people. All of this we do to take care of our lives, the lives of our sisters and the people who come to us to take care of life.

    What a blessed opportunity we are living in:

    - to be more with ourselves, without the unbridled madness of the daily rush;
    - to value fraternal coexistence, gestures of delicacy and care for each other, of attention   and prevention;
    - to prioritize personal and community prayer as food for our faith and hope in the One who calls, consecrates and sends
    - to thank the presence of the “Blessed Sacrament” in our communities and to value the Domestic Church that we are;
    - to accompany so many gestures of solidarity, donation and love that are being made and published through the various media, in favour of life and hope;
    - to go out of ourselves to understand the needs of those around us, being sober in food, in the use of water, light and others;
    - to share our gifts and knowledge with whom we are on a mission, making ourselves available to each other and their needs;
    - to reinvent and recreate life, valuing times of fraternal coexistence, using creativity.

    We will certainly come out of this different quarantine / lent: more solidary, fraternal, sensitive, simple, generous, more sisters of Unity and Communion! May the God of mercy and compassion help us make this crossing!
