    10.19.2019 | Caring for our Common Home

    A day’s seminar was organized on Sept. 26 in St. Mary’s High School, Lahore, Pakistan on ‘Care for our Common Home’ (Laudato Si). The main aim of this seminar was to make people aware of the globalization and ecology in a changing world. Sr. Shakila Bhatti and Sr. Kiran Ahmed, who are also the members of the Catholic Women Organization took the initiative of organizing this programme in which youth and parishioners gathered in large numbers.

    The whole seminar was based on these following points;

    -       Pope’s appeal to every person living in this planet.

    -       Ways to shape the future of our planet.

    -       As a church, and as a society acknowledging the urgency of our environmental challenges.

    -       Joining the larger society to embark a new path.

    -       Looking to our common future with candor and humility.

    Destruction of nature is as big a threat to humanity as climate change. We are destroying nature at an unprecedented rate, threatening the survival of a million species – and our own future. Conscious lifestyle is desired to prevent our motherland, our sacred earth.
