10.16.2019 | Seminar on Trinitarian Love

October 11-13, 2019: Three days retreat was held on “Trinitarian Love” for all the sisters of Pachmarhi Province at Fox Rock, Pachmarhi, India. Forty-three participants including novices from four provinces participated in this.   Sr. Annies Padayattil, the Provincial Superior introduced to the participants, the resource person Fr. Yann Vagneux belonging to the diocese of Chambery, France for foreign missions of Paris (MEP Society). He is send as a missionary to India for life time. From 2010 he is in india, Varanasi, living and working among the Brahmin Pandits (High cast Hindu Scholars) to study and have dialogue in Hinduism. He has completed his Ph.D. on “Holy Trinity” from Rome.

The Icon of the Holy Trinity was at the background for all the explanations of the Trinity. The Holy Trinity is the mystery of three persons in one God, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in one living and true God who is the creator of heaven and earth, who is eternal, almighty, unchangeable, powerful and holy. The different theme for three days were Trinity - Love as Communion, The Father - The source of Love, The Son - The Humility of Love, The Holy Spirit - The Expansion of Love, The church - A catholic Communion of Love, The Eucharist - Heaven on earth.

The different themes, prayers, Adorations of the Holy Eucharist and Eucharistic celebrations through which the sisters were enriched, enlivened, widened the horizon of knowledge and perspective of Trinitarian Love. It was also an opportunity for all the sisters to dwell deep into the Trinitarian spirituality. As Fr. Yann further said “God is love”. The trinity reveals to us that God is relational and His love is real, beckoning us to be ever immersed in Him, loving Him, in return and expressing that love to others. These inputs can help to better our community life and the communities resemble the Holy Trinity.
