10.12.2019 | Tanzania: Training project for students preparing to enter high school in 2020.

The Saint Joseph Hostel, administered by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chambéry in Songea, Tanzania, offers educational training for high school girls. This year, 2019, we, Sisters Malathi and Marian, decided to open the classes in preparation for high school (pre Form 1), to boys and girls of the Mateka neighborhood, we live.  Every year we carry out this training, but it\´s the first time we\´ve included boys.

We have 53 students attending classes. Of these, 15 girls are staying at the Hostel from Monday to Friday. We hope these girls will stay with us next year.

We asked for a financial contribution of 10,000 shillings (4.34 dollars, 17,95 reais) per month. In this way we can pay 4 teachers who cover 7 disciplines, as well as materials needed for the classes.
