    10.04.2019 | A touching moment....

Tuesday, October 1, Itarsi: On the occasion of “Word Elderly Day”, the students of St. Joseph’s Convent Higher Secondary school, Itarsi paid a visit to a senior home to greet the inmates of the place.

There are number of senior homes run by the Government to cater the aged people of the city with minimum facility. Certainly there is an urgent need to pre-emptively adopt measures to deal with this.

The students of junior classes performed a variety of entertainment programme for them and expressed their gratitude to the senior members for their past contribution made for the development of the society, country and their individual homes.  The students shared with them fruits and snacks. They became quite emotional.

Their advice to the students were, never give up, always take care of their old parents, do best in life, always choose the correct path and keep aim life. Students were blessed by them.

The visit to the senior home has inculcated a sense of sensitivity in the students that they have taken a promise to take care of their parents honestly and give them respect and love.  It is an encouragement about their responsibilities towards the lives of elder people to make their life better and happy by analysing all the problems affecting the life of older people.
