Twenty nine sisters of the four provinces who made first profession from 1974 to 1979 gathered at Fox Rock, Pachmarhi for the seminar on ongoing formation from 13 to 15 September 2019. Much excitement and laughter was seen and heard around as the sisters met after several years.

On 12^th evening Sr. Rohini the superior of Fox Rock community welcomed the group and she expressed her joy on having the sisters of the four provinces at Fox Rock, the cradle of formation for the group. The sisters were honoured and welcomed by the formees with arti, tikka, flower, welcome song and a beautiful dance from portico to the refectory.

“God experience through Mystical Prayer.”

Sr. Jacintha Coutinho the co-coordinator of the programme welcomed one and all on behalf of the Core Team for Ongoing Formation. The resource person Rev. Fr. Daniel Vegas OP excellent in cannon law led the group with the input sessions on “God experience through Mystical Prayer.”

Father focused on the importance of prayer in one’s life as a religious.  Prayer is nothing but the deep relationship with the Triune God – The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit to whom we need to communicate. His sessions were based on the Word of God. Rev. Fr. Thomas the second resource person spoke on Bethany spirituality – Redemptive work as carried on by Jesus in and around Bethany.

All felt excitement at the “home coming”

The sisters in their own batches met and shared their joys, sorrows and challenges collecting hope and encouragement for their future life from this seminar. “We carry with us the good memories of this batch 1974 – 1979 programme a memorable one to cherish in our day today lives”. All felt excitement at the “home coming” of the groups and feelings of gratitude welled up for all who had planned and organised the programme. A lot of was seen while recalling earlier days of formation; appreciated the Formation directresses.
