09.11.2019 | Sisters of St. Joseph hold seminar on Canon Law

Seminar on Canon Law and Religious Life was held for the Animators and Principals of Pachmarhi Province at Idgah Hills, Bhopal on 7-10 September, 2019. Fr .Michael Fernandes SDB, Canonist of Pune Province, India was the resource person. Thirty one participants namely the Animators, Principals and Heads of Departments of Pachmarhi Province were present for meeting.

The topics covered were Leadership in Religious Communities, Qualities of Superiors, Canons for Superior, Role of the Council, Dealings with the Diocese, Community Life, Seven Habits for Highly Effective Religious, How to conduct Effective Meetings, Confrontation, Dealing with Difficult Members, Methods of Vocation Promotion, Ongoing formation of the Juniors in the houses, Spiritual Direction and Animation and Administration.

The sessions were very interesting and lively as it widened the horizon of knowledge, perspectives, right attitude and skills in animation. The inputs were very relevant and apt to the given realities in the Indian Church and the World today. The sessions also geared towards self-introspection and challenged ones values and perception as leaders. The sisters were enriched, enlivened, enthused to launch out as we are better equipped to bring about a qualitative change in the areas of our ministry and community. The seminar was also an opportunity for all the sisters to be re charged and be revitalized once again with the Lord as we had Prayers and Eucharistic Celebrations. It was also a time of togetherness, sharing and bonding with each other. We do hope and pray that these inputs be reflected in our life and communities as that of the Holy Trinity.
