07.06.2019 | Called To Be A Spark Of Divine Love

The Feast Day of St. Peter and St. Paul was appropriately chosen to celebrate the First Commitment of 7 of our Novices, Albina Lakra, Alina Lakra, Deanne D\´Souza, Snekapriya Devasahayam, Subani Kerketta, Sweta Tirkey, Theresa Gregory, and 4 Temporary Professed Sisters, Prashanti Jangam, Preeti Kujur, Suvarnakumari Mullagiri and Usha Kujur, who surrendered themselves to God\´s Covenant of Love in our well decorated Convent Chapel, with the Theme in the back ground: Called To Be A Spark Of God\´s Love

Our Sisters well understood that they are called to be and to radiate this Spark with A Trinitarian Flame of God\´s Sacred Fire of Wisdom , Power and Love. For the past few years, these young sisters have journeyed with God placing their entire lives in His hands, strengthened by His life-giving Word and nourished with the precious Body and Blood of Jesus in the Eucharist. They are convinced that God is their only Hope, Courage and Strength.

Our 7 novices and 4 Temporary professed Sisters bravely walked down the aisle with their parents flanked on either side. 26 priests concelebrated in the Profession Liturgy, along with Most Rev Elias Gonzalves, Archbishop of Nagpur. In his eloquent homily, the Archbishop highlighted the great apostolic role played by the gigantic Saints, St. Peter and St. Paul, the Saints of the day. He further integrated the vocational journey and accompaniment of the 11, reaching an hour of Commitment. He thanked and appreciated the Parents and Relatives for encouraging their children during their years of Formation.

These our young sisters received blessings of a dynamic Spark of Faith and God\´s loving assurance that He accompany them on life\´s journey; that they be witnesses of God\´s compassionate love, peace and happiness through this Divine Spark integrated into their spirituality. The melodious Choir sang beautifully in the languages of the 11 to be professed. At the close of this Solemn Liturgy, thanksgiving, joy and gratitude welled up from the hearts of our 11 young sisters who thanked every one for making their Profession Day a joyous and memorable one. Felicitations and Congratulations continued in a tastefully decorated hall after which all enjoyed a sumptuous banquet.

The entire programme was well organized by the Provincial, Sr. Philo and her Council.
