The arrival of Indian novices in France to answer the call to religious life involved the entire Congregation. Therefore, it is only fair that the whole Congregation share the joy of their first commitment.

On March 19, on St. Joseph\´s day, the patron saint of our Congregation, Nirmal, Sapna and Savita made their first vows in the presence of the diocesan bishop in the parish church. Many priests and religious and a large crowd followed the event. Several Sisters of our French Province celebrated jubilees of 85, 75, 70, 65, 60 and 50 years of commitment to following the Lord.

In the church, decorated and adorned in Indian style, the liturgy unfolded quietly, blending Indian and French rites harmoniously  Dressed in saffron saris (the sacred color in India), the novices, for the blessing of their crosses by the Bishop, sang in the Hindi language: "My life is your gift, my God ... I was a piece of wood without beauty; your love carried me, you filled me with your melodies; I abandoned myself to you as an offering; from mud you shaped me into light. Let me burn and shine in your House, Lord... "

The consecration was followed by Aarti, an Indian rite lights, flowers and incense are arranged on a tray and presented slowly in three circular motions. The first smaller circle is for you, the second largest represents the universe and the wider circle represents the Majesty of God.

After the final blessing, the young women professed their joy by dancing and singing: "you are the God of infinite spaces and large horizons; you are the God of long roads, paths to infinity”...  Then the participants in the celebration left the church and gathered in the ballroom to communally share a dinner.
