A meeting on interculturality took place at the headquarters of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), from January 23 to February 1, 2019. Sisters Dolores Lahr, Eliane Costa Santana, Maria Cristina Gavazzi and Rashmi Chalissery participated. After the meeting, these Sisters gathered with the General Council to reflect on how the theme of interculturality can be implemented in the framework of the Congregation in the next three years.
For the year 2019, the commission intends to work with communities in their own provinces and regions, for the purpose of introducing the theme and helping the Sisters to understand what interculturality means in religious life. The team also hopes to invite some communities to consider an intercultural experience, with all that this implies.
