India
Sisters Sally and Philomena were recently with our sisters in India in the Bhopal area for the Province of Tanmaya\´s Provincial Chapter of Elections and some visitation. The Chapter was an experience of great openness to the presenters who shared on various topics of current issues in India society, formation, discernment and leadership. This openness to the Spirit continued as they participated in a new process during the discernment of the new Provincial Council.
Immediately following the Chapter, over the course of four days, Sisters Sally and Philo had meetings with the Provincials, Treasurers and Formation personnel. During these meetings there were very lively discussions on best practices for treasurers, with Sister Donna Hoffman via Skype, on changes in Initial Formation, as well as discussions about property and construction.
On October 29 Sisters Sally and Philo traveled to Ratlam to visit the new school in Namili, our school in Ratlam and the two school communities. We also met with the faculty, many student groups and with the students and staff at the new skill training center for women and drop-outs. Ratlam community hosted a Region meeting so that the other sisters in the surrounding area could come for an afternoon Mass and gathering.
Prior to Tanmaya\´s Chapter, Sisters Sally and Philo spent several days visiting the communities in the greater Bhopal area and participated in a meeting of the Bhopal Region of the Pachmarhi Province on Foundation Day, October 15. It was wonderful to be with our sisters and to visit some of the ministries, meeting with staff and students possible.
