On Sunday morning, the sisters followed different programs. Some toured the historic city; others went to Saint Peter\´s Square and attended the Angelus, while others preferred to stay at home. In the afternoon, after receiving information about the form of organization of the international commissions on Communication and on Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation, the sisters were challenged to reflect on ways to improve collaboration in the activities promoted by these commissions in order to reach their goals and continue to have a positive impact on the lives of the people who share our life and mission.
A significant time was devoted to the work of initial formation on the European continent. The Italian and Norwegian Provinces have young people in initial formation and are looking at ways for further collaboration and mutual aid. The Province of France will be welcoming a group of novices India to give continuity to their formation process. Sister Jona, Provincial of France, stressed that, although Indian novices in France is a congregational project, the French sisters are the ones more directly involved. The four novices will arrive in Jacob Bellecombette on August 2, 2017. Indian Sisters Lorraine Delaney and Annie will accompany the novices at this early stage. Sister Gisela of the Czech Republic will contribute her talents to this project as a spiritual director. Sister Annette of the Norwegian Province, sharing about the formation process of the young Vietnamese, said that before their formation journey, the young sisters should learn English so they can communicate and, once in the country, study Norwegian and strive to adapt and be integrated into the culture, the customs and the climate. There are currently three postulants, two novices and five sisters in temporary vows. Sister Rosalba of the Italian province presented the initial and ongoing formation plan, drawn up by the initial formation team. Sister Cristina Gavazzi added that there are three young people in initial formation, a postulant and two sisters in temporary vows. She pointed out that the Provincial Council works very closely with their formation team. The activities of the day ended with a moment of prayer, presided over by the sisters of the French Province.
