Dear Sisters and Associates,
Once again, we celebrate the birth of Jesus in our lives and into our world! We rejoice at the birth of our Messiah.
We have prepared ourselves throughout the four weeks of Advent, reflecting on the daily readings and our personal journey as we walked toward the Nativity.
As we travel, what are we carrying with us? What is it we have to share with those who walk this same journey but who may arrive via different paths?
The light is bright and reflects off the steel edges of the bridge, inviting all to come and experience the hope, life, warmth, acceptance and love of Jesus.
Will we allow ourselves to be that light, that bridge of love, acceptance and hospitality for all those whom we meet on our daily journeys? In what way is our usual hospitality being challenged as we welcome the stranger at our door or as we welcome all that is new and unfamiliar in our lives?
Wishing each of you the joy of Christmas and a grace-filled New Year!
