    Thanksgiving Day

     Dear Sisters and Associates,

On Thursday, November 24th both North and South America will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day. As a Congregation, we have so much for which to be grateful. We take this opportunity to offer our deep gratitude to our Provident God and to all of you!

We are grateful for your faithfulness to living our consecrated life in the midst of its own evolution and in a world that is increasingly moving away from the virtue of fidelity. Your witness to living vowed life, gospel values and care for our earth offer so many others a breath of hope and joy even in the midst of their own struggles. The grace to live with gratitude is a gift we can share.

Our world reflects some of the same dissonance, greed and ravages in society as seen in the time of Jesus and during the civil wars in France in 1650. The need for our charism of communion and unconditional love remains as strong as ever as we live in and help co-create this 21st century. Will this be a century marked with greater generosity and gratitude because of our presence?

Thank you for who you are and for all you share with so many during each day! You will be in our prayers on the 24th as you are every day.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    With love and blessings,
    S. Sally Hodgdon
    S. Mariaelena Aceti
    S. Ieda Tomazini
    S. Philo Pazhuruparambil
